During the entire expansion, Norman and Sallie had one thing on their minds - the future. They knew that at some time they would have to expand Dairyfield Farm to keep up with the pace of the dairy industry, and world economy.
When they built Dairyfield Farm, all aspects were covered to make the farm expandable-friendly. The free stall barn was constructed to easily be connected to another larger free-stall barn. The milking parlor was made with room to expand to a double 16 herringbone parlor. The holding area was built extra large. The area by the bunker silo had extra ground prepared to just poor extra cement, add a few walls, and whammy - more bunker silos are ready for the expansion!
