Ten Things You Can Do With An Apple

1. Make your own applesauce.  Quarter apples then simmer in water until tender.  Puree in blender, then add sugar and cinnamon to taste.

2. Put an apple in a box of green tomatoes.  Set in a cool dry place  for a few days.  The apple helps the tomatoes to ripen and become more flavorful.

3. Dry apples for a snack.  Allow one week's drying time.

4. Cut an apple in half.  Dip in ink and use to print.  Make stationery,  stamp on a tee shirt, stamp a paper bag for gift giving, or...(use your imagination).

5. Make your own apple butter.

6. Bobbing for apples is great old-fashioned fun.  Add it to this year's Halloween or harvest party.

7. Dry whole, peeled apples and make apple head grannies.

8. Cut apple into rings, then slather peanut butter between two slices.

9. Remember the thrills of homemade or caramel or candy apples? Bet your mother has the recipe.

10. Here is a great party game.  Tie a string onto an apple.  Secure   the other end of the string to a doorway.  Each contestant must keep hands behind his back while attempting to eat the apple from the string.  The winning team is the first to get all of their apples eaten.

11. I know I said ten, but my favorite thing to do with an apple is just plain eat it.
