DADDY'S PRINCESS

I have so many things I want to say,
Like the very first moment I saw
And cradled you in my arms.
I thanked GOD for that beautiful day.

You made my life much more luminous,
A radiance I couldn't ignore.
My heart was filled with charm
Cause I just got my little Princess.

I know I've made many mistakes,
But I'm always proud to be "Daddy."
My Princess, as you are growing
Not being with you is a heart ache.

There were times you went fast asleep;
Your heartbeat right on top of me,
I'd watch your baby face glowing,
As the Angel's danced in your sleep.

Can you remember loving the swings?
You ran throughout the park
And was having so much fun,
Until I said it was time to get going.

What about your very first bike?
I can still hear your cute little remarks
And see your smile as bright as the sun;
I knew it was what you'd like.

The smallest things would please you,
Like a scary movie or going out to eat.
Those precious moments is ours to keep,
They're loving ones so blessed and true.

You're smart and beautiful, with alot of finesse;
And also a strong, talented athlete!
I'm so proud of you that I sometimes weep,
You're not a dream, you are my little Princess.
