On a night when nothing is planned, get a bunch of rose petals, and spread them along the floor leading to the bathroom. Have the lights off in the whole house and use candles along the way to the bathroom. Prepare a bublle bath for her, and have a neglege sitting on the sink counter, next to some perfume that you like and the blush. foundation, and lipstick that she uses. While she is in the bathroom, cleanup the petals that lead from the door to the bathroom, and use them to lead from the bathroom to the bedroom. In the bedroom prepare a dinner of what she likes to eat and some champaigne. Have rose petals all over the floor and the bed. You could use silk sheets on the bed. And let things happen from there. Take turns reading romantic poetry or an erotic novel to each other.
If there's a great slow dance song playing on the radio, ask your partner to dance, even if you happen to be cooking supper or getting ready for work.
Kiss your partner awake in the morning.
Give your partner the luxury of some private time, knowing that when you reunite it will be all the sweeter.
Start a candle collection and use them a lot.
Undress each other with your eyes closed.
Go to the drive-in movies and neck.
Spontaneously whisper to your lover where, when, and how you'd like to make love to him or her. Time your declaration for an unexpected moment that's sure to make your partner blush: on the bus commute to work, at a shower thrown by your cousin, or during a family barbecue.
When tensions run high, book a special dinner at your favorite restaurant and promise each other not to talk "money" or "the house", or whatever the bone of contention is, for the entire evening.
Make a time capsule. Write down your private thoughts and dreams in letters to each other. Then put them in a box, along with a special bottle of wine, perhaps, or funny souvenirs, and seal it with sealing wax. Don't open it until your 50th anniversary.
Dab your handkerchiefs with each other's favorite fragrance for an intimate, sweet-smelling reminder of each other.
Surprise your love by lip-synching a love song.
Have some good, clean fun: take a bath or shower together. Stock up on bottles of delicious-smelling bubble bath, aromatherapy bath oil, or shower gel.
Invest in just one pair of classic men's pajamas to share between the two of you: one gets the top, the other the bottom.
Strew your bed with flower petals.
Use ice cold Kool-Aid in a squirt
bottle to write a loving message on a snowy lawn or roof.
Carve hearts in your love's lunch box fruit so they will appear by noon time.
While your love is in the shower,
put their towel in the dryer for a few minutes so it will be
toasty warm when they step out.
Use Rain-X anti-fog (used to keep car
windows from fogging up) on a cotton swab to write a message that
will mysteriously appear on the bathroom mirror while your
sweetheart is showering.
Use chalk to write a welcome home greeting on the path to your front door.
In your own voice, record a short book,
fairy tale or poetry on tape for your partner to listen to on the
way to work or when they are out of town.
Draw a dozen or more silly pictures of memorable experiences the two of you have shared. Outline in a black marker and then have the pages copied and bound on heavy paper at a copy shop. Give with a pack of crayons.
Have a pillow fight
Paint a picture of her
Say a prayer together
Take her on a weekend trip, even if it's in your own town
Tell her goodnight, every night
Fill the ceiling of a room full of
balloons with ribbons that reached the floor
Not only do we record .WAV files saying "I love you" etc, which we trade via e-mail, but she has recorded her voice saying, "Kevin, you have mail" which I use with my mail program. I reciprocated and gave her a smiliar file. So now, everytime I get new mail, I hear her sweet voice.(definitely one of my favorites, thanks Kevin!)
Take Dance lessons together.
If your partner has an IBM edit their autoexec.bat file and add your own personalized message. I once made the message "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LOVE ROMEN" come up when she booted up her computer. It was displayed in _LARGE_ ascii characters.(this and the next 4 ideas come courtesy of Romen)
If anyone uses Windows 3.11 or Win95- when your partner isn't looking use a graphics program (eg painbrush) and quickly scribble I love you, save it and make that picture the background (or wallpaper) of windows so that next time they load it up they will get a suprise.
Well what I did for Christmas (and I
hope she doesn't see this!) is to buy two of those disposal
camera deals (about $12.99 a piece. Indoor style.) One of them
I'm going to fill up with pictures from my neck of the woods,
including pictures of myself.
Then *without developing it*, I'm sending
the camera to her, along with the second camera that hasn't been
used, so she can do the same thing and send hers back to me.
(Thanks Duane. Please remember to send your film in a
special container for film. Get these at the post office. You
don't want the metal detectors and x-rays to destroy your special
pictures.)
(this one is a good one for guys) Tell your partner that you have a friend that _R E A L L Y_ wants to meet them and they are waiting in the car. But before you do this...get a teddy bear and try to make them look cute eg put sunglasses on them or dress them up...Sit the bear on the front seat of the car and put the seatbelt on him. If your car has tinted windows then all the better cause she won't see the bear until you open the door. Well anyway lead her out to the car to meet this person and she should get a suprise when she sees the teddy you got for her!!!
Collect little things that you do together (does that make sense??) What I mean is whenever me and my gf do something together I take a part of it and keep it in a little box. Eg Movie tickets, business cards from restaurants, the card of the first bunch of flowers she got me, a napkin from her favourite restaurant etc. Then put all these things in a scrapbook and write little notes under them, they can be as simple as "Our first dinner together" to "Remember what we did while we watched this movie??". The best thing about this present is it's will be a lot of fun when both of you look through it, and you can always look through it whenever you wish. Placing a message, or a poem or message on the first page would be good too.
Collect poems (either from the Net or write them yourself) and make a book of poems for him or her.
Serenade your lover- stand outside her window with a stereo and sing her a love song. It really doesnt matter how bad your voice is or what the neighbors think.
Hershey's Kisses are called that because the machine that makes them looks like it's kissing the conveyor belt.
Hire a baby-sitter every once in a while! This is very important, especially for married people who work all day plus some. Save your change if you have to, but hire a baby-sitter, even for an hour. Do something quiet and alone. Enjoy each others company.
Rent a romantic movie and pop some popcorn. Turn off all the lights and cuddle.
For your anniversary, have your wedding vows done beautifully- calligraphy on parchment paper, ink on pretty paper, hand written on a watercolor background, etched in glass, the possibilities are endless.
Choose flowers that match her eyes.
Hold doors for her.
Tell her how beautiful she is.
Sing him to sleep.
Read a book together Take turns with chapters at bedtime. Youll be surprised how wonderful it is to have a story read to you while youre snuggled up in bed.
Play in the park like when you were kids Throw snowballs, or jump in leaf piles. Splash in puddles..
Go to the beach and search for seashells or driftwood or beach glass. Look for neat seaweed to play with. Build a fire (if allowed at the beach.) Play in the dunes.
Replace his bookmark with a love note.
Arrange things ahead of time. Visit a local restaurant, have special candles, flowers etc. put on the table, or a little gift served on the dinner plate. A small tip will assure the success. (thanks to Ira)
Compliment your partner-every day, more than once. Make it genuine or it will do the opposite of what you want.
Hang a mosquito net above your bed. It creates a cozy, romantic feeling. Imagine how hes going to feel when he walks in and sees how beautiful you are in your best lingerie behind a white gauzy cloud of fabric. They are slightly expensive if you buy one at the store. You can make your own with yards and yards of netting from the fabric store and a large embroidery hoop. Just attach the netting to the hoop, attach 4 strings of equal length to the hoop and hang it from a hook in the middle of the ceiling.
Help put on his or her coat, even if help is not needed.
Have a soft fluffy cotton towel ready to dry your lover off as he comes out of the shower..
Shower together
Brush her hair for her. Learn how to braid it also
Wash her hair for her. She'll love it.
Turn the back yard into a fantasy- Drape the trees and fences with tiny white lights. Put spray on snow on the trees and decorate the porch. Turn on slow music and bring her out to dance under the moon.
Buy some small, red, heart-shaped stickers and place one on the face of your wristwatch. It's a reminder to think of your lover every time you check the time.
Hold Each Other Close.
Give each other Eskimo kisses.
Hold Hands.
Go for a long bike ride in the country or backroads.
Walk arm in arm.
Snuggle up together.
Have a water fight.
Take a walk together.
Take a nap together.
Wink at each other and make it mean something special
Feed ducks in the park.
Play "Footsie"
Have the DJ of her favorite radio station give her a personalized message.
String little white Christmas tree lights around the window frames.
Spread rose petals all over the bedroom, or bathroom, or anywhere.
Make a special tape of love songs.
Greet him at the door wearing sexy lingerie!
Watch the sunset together. Find a hill. Bring a picnic. It's better than TV!
Make love in the back yard at night.
Flirt just a little. Wink. Compliment her.
Rub massage oils on her lower back.
Replace your old pajamas with something silky and sexy!
Always kiss each other upon departing.
Camp-out in your backyard and stare up at the stars together.
Why do we wear wedding rings on the "ring finger"? Tradition. The ancient Greeks and Romans believed that a nerve ran from that finger directly to the heart.
Save some mistletoe from
Christmas for that "special" occasion
