Dark Eyes

Hi, I'm Kristen McCurley and my email is kristenam@hotmail.com I'm 13 and in eighth grade. Here are some of my poems to which (I hope) someone can relate to:

Dark eyes shrouded in fear,
secrets of the past,
Promises of the future.
Dark eyes of an innocent girl
Shine out, reaching out to others.
People pass her, not noticing
Her eyes are shiny with tears.
Dark eyes shrouded in mist
Of dreams to come.
She knows naught what
The dreams depict.
Visions of blood and death,
Mayhap they tell of the future.
Or perhaps they are the past.
Dark eyes keep secrets,
Age old curses of ill fate.
Her shivers and downcast eyes tell
that she has been hurt
In some way close to her heart.
Star dust reflected in her dark eyes,
Truth and innocence now far gone.
Unfortunate, it is, to watch a young girl
Turn to pain and defeat.
Dark eyes reflect others pain,
Others besides her own.
She watches fearfully
as her friends are defeated
Slowly, one by one.
Now none noice her frowns and tears,
They all think it's just a game.
She wanted me to tell you no,
For her lips are sealed by stone.
Her dark eyes reflect
only her soul from deep inside,
Telling you of her fears.
Everyone's wrong, tis not a game,
People are being hurt.
Hurt by her harsh words, hurt by her fear
As it reflects their own.
Dark eyes tell of her wishes.
Her wish to leave poetry and her feelings alone,
Her wish for happiness.
Yet she knows such things
will never come true,
Never happen.
She believes happiness has left
and cannot return till
she has safely left her teenage years
By time or death she cannot tell.
Dark eyes clouded with anger
Against one she trusted.
He betrayed her trust.
She tries to see it from his point of view.
She sees what he said
And partially forgives him.
But the fact is there all the same.
He betrayed her confidence.
Her sighs tell she wants to forgive and forget,
But cannot quite let go.
She sees herself depressed,
But that fact only makes her slip deeper in.
Dark eyes soon to be softened perhaps,
