"P-chan's Anime Collection and Events" ![]() Well, I you haven't figure it by now, I'm a devoted anime fan. I find anime to be a wonderful and enriching form of artistic expression, with very deep stories and astonishing, breath-taking animation techniques. Here I'm with Son Goku when we went out on our first date, right before he married Chi-Chi. ^_^ My collection includes titles from the box-office hit "Mononoke Hime" by one of Japan's most prestigious anime directors Hayao Miyazaki, to romantic-comedies such as Kimagure Orange Road and Ranma1/2, to sci-fi thrillers such as Neon Genesis Evangelion and Macross, to shoujo masterpieces such as Marmalade Boy and Candy Candy, to extre-comedy as found in Kodomo No Omocha and Crayon Shin-chan. You name it and I have (or at least I've seen it). Whenever I am not studying, working or tutoring, you'll find Sana-chan and me watching anime. Fortunately we get our dose of daily anime thanks to Cartoon Network's Toonami which has started to air Sailor Moon and DragonBall Z in the afternoons, and UPN and WB for showing Pokemon in the mornings. ![]() As you can see, I also very fond of collecting anime models, toys, artbooks, pins, mangas in both english and japanese, and of course anime CD's and dub/sub videotapes. Just as anime has so many different genres, anime music may range from neo-classical backgrounds to electrifying rock tunes. In this section, I'll try to keep you updated of japanese and anime related events, as well as the latest reviews and releases. For more info on anime, please visit Anipike's Web Turnpike or send me an email, and I'll try to answer your anime related questions. -Patty-chan (^_^) ![]() Last updated: February 20, 1999 Copyright@1988, 1999 by Patricia Villanueva This page hosted by![]() |
