Call Me
So many weeks have now passed by,
Since you called to hear my sigh,
Would you please tell me, "Why?"
Please do call me!
It was you who made it sound ideal,
Hearing your voice made it so real,
Were you aware of how I would feel?
Asking to call me!
There were many hints of something,
Anticipation of what it would bring,
Thrilling me with a telephone ring,
Wanting to call me!
Sometimes it all seems so very clear,
When you whisper love words in my ear,
They make me long for you to be near,
When you call me!
You take me higher than I've ever been,
Tell me, "What does this to you mean?"
In our minds the passion we have seen,
While you call me!
Don't just offer me a tiny little crumb,
It simply leaves me feeling totally numb,
Now asking you to call, I feel so dumb,
But.......call me!
