Drown In Love
Holding back her tears as he walks away,
Wanting to call out his name loud and clear.
Will he forever remember the love they had,
Or will absence cause the memory to disappear?
Remembering the blissful nights he held her,
Ecstasy had banished all of the mistrust.
The sweet promises he made as he held her,
Are now shattered and turned into dust.
Walking slowly down to the raging river bank,
In the nightness the river's water is so black.
Now crying out his name, loudly and clear,
Her tears start flowing, unable to hold back.
So now, she stands high on the river's edge,
One last cry of his name and then a long sigh.
It would be too easy to dive into this river,
To drown in love as her heart does slowly die.
