"A POET'S PLEA"


To write what you feel
and feel what you write,
"My Poet", I do appeal
please show me it right.

Words from the heart
so few have this gift,
Where did it all start
please give me a lift.

I feel what I read
and sometimes cry,
An emotional need
I do not know why.

This is not dismal
though it may seem,
Nor is it critical
as some may deem.

I write what I feel
and feel what I write,
"My Poet" I do appeal
tell me I am right.
