"REGRETS"

Sinking, will I drown in this sea,
Of regret, that is pulling me down,
Please, how I do beg, help I need,
Why is your head bowed with a frown?

How can you treat me with this scorn,
Is a spine something you truly do lack,
No good bye, see you later, so long,
Do my eyes deceive, is this your back?

Let me see your face, are there any tears,
Shame or fears, I dare you, let me see.
Are you unable to speak, am I to blame,
Were we not friends for all of eternity?

You must know that I will remember you,
As lomg as we live; I did you no wrong.
With dignity, holding my head very high,
Hear me, good bye, farewell, so long!
