This is a DEDICATION to a man
that I greatly admire.
As he travels through the Cirle Of Life.
He had come across some devastating paths.
He has crossed these paths and become
a stronger person with each one he conquers.
He then continues on around the bend
in the road thru his Circle of Life.
A MAN OF STRENGTH
You are the strength and spirit
Strength of the Hawk is Mighty
Spirit of the Wolf is Majestic
A man of many strengths I see
A path you will follow
And around every you bend you go
No matter what comes along
The strength you have will show
Your spirit may falter
Every now and then, yet
You call upon your strength and
You bring your spirit up again
The strength and spirit of you
Is the love of your family
And helping to bring back

HIS LIFE STORY
Thru the circle of life you travel
A black belt at 14 in karate
Into Star Trek and radio control planes
Is the first path of this Cherokee
The Martial Arts helps you thru
Training for an aerobatics stunt team
And like others you have that quest
To be an Astronaut You do dream
Into the Special Forces you go
As a Crew Chief for the Army
On board a UH1H helicopter you serve
And many beautiful places you do see
After leaving the Military
You race motorcycles in the 1/4 mile
Also into stock car racing
Keeping up Karate all the while
You work as a Machine Adjuster
A new machine operator you were sent
At the Paper company you work at
She was fun, cute and intelligent
About a year later you were Wed
And into the happy marriage circle
And four beautiful children you were sent
Three handsome boys,and a lovely girl
Interested in your roots she became
Into Powwows and other events you went
To learn of Cherokee Wolf Clan ways
And what the name Sitting Hawk meant
She was killed in an auto accident
And sent to the heavens above
She gave you strength to help you heal
And raise the children you both love
You had a long battle inside yourself
To heal in many, many ways
Your heart broken, your foot severed
But you made it thru slowly day by day
A Service Manager you became
For the Goodyear Company
To build a life and home again
And provide for your family
You were shot in an armed robbery
You lost the use of your legs
Once again a devastated path
And into deep thought you would stay
You started to long for the RED ROAD
To see the path your grandfather saw
Your Cherokee way of life
When he gave you the name Sitting Hawk
You made yourself strong so you could
Raise your children on the Red Road
And to help your people's dying culture
And A site for All Indians to call HOME
You dedicated your site to your Father
And gave it a special domain
Your site for the American Indians
Is in hopes they will come back again
You have crossed another bend
And turned down another road
Your kidneys are starting to fail
And not long do you have, you've been told
The Circle of Life is closing in
But you haven't given up yet
To raise your children into adulthood
Is the heart of your quest
