River of Love
The world has lost a precious stream
Of living waters...flowing
Diana, Princess of Wales
Ne're will the world stop owing
We owe the tranquil thoughts of some
The love and care of others
Ne're will there ever be
Such love among the brethern
The poor she loved, the sick she held
For the small child she leaned and knelt
Clear waters of the fount she gave
A rippling of hope they felt
If only for a little while
The chance she gave for them to smile
Her river of life was ebbing away
It wasn't meant for her to stay
The river of life was flowing
As surely as the waters crest
God showed the world that He knew best
He felt the rising tide
T'was then He placed her by His side
The river of life...at last...at rest
