I was down by the river edge
Sitting on a log
When all at once I was startled
By a talking old green frog
He says I would love to make a trade with you
If you are willing to make the deal
You live mine for awhile
And I will pay your bills
I only need to have a day
As you upon the ground
You can swim and play
While I get to run around
I decided to grant his wish
Like he said I had some fun
And he was a frog of his word
After one day he did return
He was happy as can be
So we again made the switch
I will miss swimming around
With all the lovely fish
I asked him why he was willing to trade
His answer knocked me off my log
He said it was only for sex
And said he was tired of screwing frogs
They have cold and clammy skin
With those ugly nasty warts
And those gross sticky tongues
That they shove down my throat
Their breath smells of rotten flies
Fresh from the city dump
And every time you make penetration
They always go and jump
Their legs are long and bulky
And they have webbed feet
And they croak all night long
It is a wonder that we sleep
But I made you a promise
When we made the trade
So money will be no problem
For all your bills are paid
I really like this little frog
He was a happy soul
But I will kill him if I see him
Because my wife delivered tadpoles

How did I get infected
Caught with my defenses down
Infected with this sweet pain
That affects my heart

Never did I expect

My immunities lay defenseless
How did it happen

Nor may even exist

Extreme physical therapy

If I disappeared as fast as I arrived

A son should never have to face this
A son is supposed to protect his mother
Keep her safe and out of harm
I should not be weighted down
Deciding when her breathing stops
This is not my place
How do I decide when to end
The life of my life giver
I could be selfish
Tell them to keep you on
But that would not be fair
I love you too much to ever let you suffer
So I make our decision for us

I kneeled down beside you
