Poems from the other side..

            Hear poem read

            Homeless

Three A.M., the stars crush you,
            suffocate with their
            insistent smiles-
            The harbor wind finds you,
Even here in this blind alley,
            Spitting tossed food wrappings
            Over your sleeping torso.
            The urine air is sweeter
            Than pomander on a winter
            Night with the snow
            Covering you in a dust
The angels cannot shake from their hair-
