Christine Taylor inks Fox TV deal
HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - Twentieth Century Fox TV has signed a development deal with television and film actress Christine Taylor, well-known as the big-screen Marcia Brady, and is expected to create a sitcom for her.
In addition to playing the oldest Brady sister in "The Brady Bunch Movie" and "A Very Brady Sequel," she's had roles in films such as "The Wedding Singer," "The Craft" and the upcoming indie films "Kiss Toldeo Goodbye" and "Desperate But Not Serious."
Taylor also had a lead role in the short-lived Fox comedy "Party Girl," as well as CBS' "A Good Start" and Nickelodeon's "Hey Dude."
She's guest-starred on "Friends," "Murphy Brown," "Seinfeld," "Ellen" and "Caroline in the City."
"My decision to align myself with (20th Century Fox TV president) Sandy (Grushow) was simple -- they know how to make good shows, and they've assembled the best lineup of writers in TV," Taylor said.
