Daylight Bright
Has blinded me in the dark,
The hot light.

The walking,
Slowly through the city park,
At rising.

The sunbeams,
Sliding by the tall buildings,
Windows gleam.

The brightness,
From early morn reflecting,
Cast shadows.

Dim decline,
As I seek the shelter space,
To recline.

Cot thirteen
I hide away my grim face,
Stay unseen.

Day rolls by,
Returning me to the dark,
At day’s sigh.
