I got my first computer around 1970. It was an OSI CP4. It had 8K of Ram, 16 colors, and ran black and white programs.
It ran on basic and I slowly learned how to program it. I could write some very basic programs, such as files. I saved my pennies and bought a new mother board with another 8K of Ram. This gave me 16K!
Time went on and the Commodore 64s came out. I got one and had 64K to play with! Several years later I got a Commodore 128. I still use these quite a bit.
I like to write, (see writing page), and I use the 128. Mainly because all my writings are on that word processor. Some day I may transfer them over to this computer.
I use the Commodore 64 on Packet radio, (see ham page). I have several now and can have one on the main radio console too.
Who ever said a second mortage can't be useful? With some extra money I sent out, I got a Compaq. This lasted several months untill lightning wanted it more than I did. Insurance almost covered a new computer. This one was designed by me, and built here in Salina.
