Note - the rest of this site was created in April, 1999 to show support for the troops going into Kosovo, but could and does apply to all those now in harms way. Please feel free to read the messages from those who pray for their safety
April, 1999
Please read these two poems. They are sure to break your
heart, and maybe inspire you to send a greeting to the
Servicemen and Women serving in Yugoslavia and all the other places in the world where they are needed.

Memorial Day 1999 Tribute Page
A site has been created for us to post greetings to the men
and women of the Armed Services serving in the Kosovo
conflict, and to those keeping the peace in Bosnia and
Yugoslavia. It started as a project by the WebTV community,
and the response has been so wonderful, it has expanded
into a WWW project.
This is an invitation to the people of the WWW community
to make a personal greeting for our troops serving our
country there. The theme is Guardian Angels for our
Warriors. The greeting can be very simple or as
elaborate as you wish, but please include an angel
somewhere in the design. Add your personal message.
If you have a personal home page and wish to design it
there, send me the URL of the greeting and I will add it to
the Greetings Page. If you do not have a page, send me the
HTML code for your greeting via email and I will put it on
this
site. Email address is below.
It is my hope to get many, many greetings for these
wonderful protectors of our freedom.
Please
go here to see
Guardian Angels for our Warriors,
and the greetings to the troops.
Once we have a good number of greetings, we will send the
address of the site to the USO and others in order for the
families to begin viewing and forwarding the greetings to
the troops.
And if for some reason you're thinking this small token of
our pride and love is not important to the troops,
please read
"A Sister's Dream". You will see that not only is
it important to them, it is just as important for
us to have a way to express our feelings. You can also see
what an
active duty member of the US Navy has to say about
our support
and how much it
means to them.
I hope you'll agree that this is a worthwhile cause and
that you'll get to work with all those wonderful HTML'ing
skills. Check the greeting page for the ones already
received and to get an idea of what we need. Please send
your URL or CODE as soon as possible.
If you need angel graphics, see the links below. There are
lots to choose from.
Thank you, one and all, and God Bless.
Update: May 2, 1999. Our POWS are free!!! Thank God!! I
will keep the POW page up as a reminder that there are
still MIAS & POWS out there that have not been
brought home...
To all of you who have responded with angel greetings or
signed the guest book, a personal and very sincere thank
you. You are "Fantastic."Please remember that this
site is for ALL the troops, not just the POWS and if you forward it to someone, please send this first page so
they may see the entire message and all the greetings and
then continue on to the POW page.
