 Have you ever watched kids
 on a merry-go-round
 Or listened to the rain
 slapping on the ground?
 Ever followed a butterfly's
erratic flight
Or gazed at the sun into
the fading night?
 You better slow down
 Don't dance so fast
 Time is short
 The music won't last
Do you run through each day
on the fly
When you ask "How are you?"
 do you hear the reply?
 When the day is done,
do you lie in your bed
 With the next hundred chores
 running through your head?
 You'd better slow down
 Don't dance so fast
 Time is short
 The music won't last
 Ever told your child,
 We'll do it tomorrow
And in your haste, not see
his sorrow?
 Ever lost touch,
 Let a good friendship die
 'Cause you never had time
 to call and say "Hi"?
 You'd better slow down
 Don't dance so fast
 Time is short
 The music won't last
When you run so fast to get
somewhere
You miss half the fun of
getting there.
 When you worry and hurry
through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....
 Thrown away...
 Life is not a race.
 Do take it slower
 Hear the music
 Before the song is over.

Boxes
I have in my hands two boxes
Which God gave me to hold
He said,"Put all your sorrows
in the black,
And all your joys in the gold."
I heeded his words, and in
the two boxes
Both my joys and sorrows I
store
But though the gold became
heavier each day
The black was as light as
before
With curiosity, I opened the
black
I wanted to find out why
And I saw, in the base of
the box, a hole
Which my sorrows had fallen
out by
I showed the hole to God,
and mused aloud,
"I wonder where my sorrows
could be."
He smiled a gentle smile at
me.
"My child, they're all here
with me."
I asked,"God, why give me
the boxes,
"Why the gold, and the black
with the hole?"
"My child, the gold is for
you to count your blessings,
the black is for you to let
go."

CROSSROADS
Sometimes we come to life's
crossroads and
View what we think is
the end,
But God has a much wider
vision and
He knows it's only a
bend --
The road will go on and
get smoother, and
After we've stopped for
a rest,
The path that lies hidden
beyond us is
Often the part that is
best.
So rest and relax and
grow stronger
Let go and let God share
your load,
And have faith in a brighter
tomorrow
You've just come to a
bend in the road.

Life
Sometimes people come into your life and you
know
right away that they were meant to be there,
they
serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson
or help
figure out who you are or who you want to become.
You never know who these people may be; your
roommate,
neighbor, professor, long lost friend, lover,
or even
a complete stranger who, when you lock eyes
with them,
you know that very moment that they will affect
your
life in some profound way.
And, sometimes things happen to you and at the
time
they may seem horrible, painful and unfair,
but in
reflection you realize that without overcoming
those
obstacles you would have never realized your
potential
strength, willpower, or heart.
Everything happens for a reason.  Nothing
happens by
chance or by means of good or bad luck.
Illness,
injury, love, lost moments of true greatness
and sheer
stupidity all occur to test the limits of your
soul.
Without these small tests - if they be events,
illnesses or relationships - life would be like
a
smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere.
Safe
and comfortable, but dull and utterly pointless.
The people you meet who affect your life and
the
successes and downfalls you experience create
who you
are, and even the bad experiences can be learned
from.
In fact, they are probably the most poignant
and
important ones.
If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your
heart, forgive them, for they have helped you
learn
about trust and the importance of being cautious
to
whom you open your heart.
If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally,
not only because they love you, but because
they are
teaching you to love and opening your heart
and eyes
to things you would have never seen or felt
without
them.
Make every day count.  Appreciate every
moment and
take from it everything that you possibly can,
for you
may never be able to experience it again.
Talk to people you have never talked to before,
and
actually listen, let yourself fall in love,
break free
and set your sights high.
Hold your head up because you have every right
to.
Tell yourself you are a great individual and
believe
in yourself...for if you don't believe in yourself,
no
one else will believe in you either. You can
make of
your life anything you wish.
Create your own life and then go out and live
in it.

is Not
Promised!"
