1. What is a webring?

A webring is a way of bringing sites or pages of similar content together.

2. Why should I join the Action Man Webring?

Have you ever tried to search for sites containing Action Man content? How many did you find through the search engines...1, 2, maybe 3?

By joining the Action Man Webring, you allow those fans of Action Man to easily find your pages. Somone can surf the ring and look through all the Action Man pages without the exhausting futile search. In addition, joining the ring, will bring more hits to your site!

3. Does it cost anything?

The ring is absolutely free! Plus it is a great way to meet and trade with other Action Man fans.

4. Can anyone join?

Anyone who owns a site or page with coverage of Action Man or Geyperman may join the ring. This includes Palitoy, as well as Hasbro, and figures, as well as comics, animation, or anything else Action Man related.

5. What type of sites are allowed in the ring?

Any site which promotes Action Man or Geyperman may join the ring. Sites containing any pornographic or content inappropriate for minors will not be considered.

6. How do I join?

In order to join, you must first read the requirements and then complete this form in its entirety. Upon successful transmission, you will receive the HTML fragment and your Site ID #, to add to your website. Make the changes indicated, and once the webmaster notices that you have the fragment on your page, you should soon be approved for admittance to the ring.

7. Where do I find the HTML fragment?

You can find the HTML fragment here. You will also receive it via e-mail to the address that you used when you completed the form. Once you have your Site ID# you may add it to your site.

8. What am I supposed to change?

You need to substitute your Site ID# (the number sent to you when you joined) in all places where it calls for "site id." You will also change "e-mail" to your e-mail address, and "name" to your name.

9. Can I add my own graphics to the HTML fragment?

No, you must use the graphics which are currently available here for the HTML ring fragment. However, you are invited to submit a proposal with designs that you may create as a possible alternative.

10. What is a queue?

When you complete the join form you are not yet added to the Action Man Webring. In the interim you are added to the "queue," which is a virtual line of sites awaiting approval to join the ring.

11. Where do I put the HTML fragment?

The HTML fragment must go on your main page or directly on the page which has Action Man content. If you have a designated webring page, you may add it there, but you MUST have a clearly visible link from there to your Action Man page. While it is nice to have someone checking out your site, people should not have to search too hard to find the Action Man content while surfing the ring.

12. What happens if my site moves?

If the url for your site moves, please stop back here right away and change the url if you site from the edit page. Failure to keep the ring flowing, may be grounds for being dropped from the ring.

13. What do I do if my e-mail address changes?

Should your e-mail address change, you may make the necessary changes from the edit page.

14. Is it alright if I invite my friends to join the ring?

Absolutely! Tell your friends! Tell your co-workers! Spread the word to anyone you think might be interested on appropriate mailing lists and newsgroups. Invite people you know who have talked about having an Action Man site, to get it up already and join the ring!

15. When is the chat room open?

The chat room is available 24 hours a day, everyday. Feel free to pop in unexpectredly or schedule a chat with other Action Man fans. The room is open to members of the Action Man Webring and those who have been invited by members.

16. Have you thought about having a message board?

Yes, a members only message board is in the works to allow members to post of upcoming shows, trades, or want lists.

17. How do I get in touch with the ringmaster and who is it?
