 This is Mr."Baby" Blue, a blue and gold macaw. His hatch date is November 16, 1997. As a baby Mr. Blue was quiet and shy, but then his behavior changed. He became rather loud and especially tends to be noisy in the morning and in the evening. He uses his voice when he is bored or wants some delicious food or something else. He can say a number of words and phrases, including "hello", "hi Baby", "poopy", "heysan hoppsan", "shower", "I love you", "bird", "kiss" and a few Russian words, including "privet" (hi), "horosho" (good), "kak dela" (how are you doing). He could learn many more, I think.
Like most parrots, Blue loves to eat and utters a special sound (kahpuboo) when he is eating something that he really likes. Generally, his diet consists of walnuts, almonds, baby foods, vegetables, brown rice, Beak Appetit and fruit. He drinks both water and juice.
Baby Blue takes a shower a few times a week. Sometimes he gets excited and happy during a shower and starts flapping his wings. Other times he just sits on the shower perch and looks anything but pleased. He likes to chew on wood and has wooden, as well as acrylic toys.
