We hope to show how you can make a diffence simply by visiting your "Real" local animal shelter and giving a "Real" homeless animal a swell home :-)

Many people think that when they take a dog, cat, bird or other animals to the animal shelter, that its almost certain that that pet will have a new home within the next few days. The fact is that the close to 85% of the dogs & cats admitted to an animal shelter are euthanized ("put to sleep"), within that very same week.
In this Syber-Shelter, we do not kill pets, we dont even house "real" animals, this is just our way of encouraging you to visit your local animal shelter. At this site, you will be able to view pictures and heart warming stories about animals in a "real" animal shelter ~ The Morristown-Hamblen Humane Society ~ in Tennessee. If you are interested, we will send information about how to adopt the particuar pet featured on this page. But we don't encourage that unless you live in our area. If you like what you see here, your best bet is to visit your local animal shelter. This way you won't have to pay for transportation across the country, and your local homeless animals can have a swell home.

How WWSS works:
The UPSIDE
Each week WWSS will feature at least one animal at our local animal shelter. We will place a photo of the animal on the Adoption Page. We will include a history and other information on the animal. If you would like to give the animal a swell Syber-home, all you have to do is:
1) Complete the submission form
2) Place the "thumbnail image" of the animal on your website
3) Notify us when all is complete.
How WWSS doesn't work:
The DOWNSIDE
If the featured animal is not Syber-adopted and or "really" adopted by the end of the week, the animal will be placed on TheDOWNSIDE Page. This site will contain all the unadopted, homeless animals. This will exemplify the fact that many animals remain unwanted and are euthanized ("put to sleep"). Let's hope that the WWSS Adoption History Page grows far bigger than the DOWNSIDE Page
