Here i am doing my absolutly favorite thing!
i love to swim. My favorite class for SAR is
the water recovery class.Water trainings are
fun. They go in boats or work from the shore.
We have voluteers wear scuba gear and they
go in deep or shallow, for the dogs to find them.
an alert is anything from biting at the water to barking,
each dog is different in their alert. The handler must be
able to read their dogs body language.....

Here is emmett identifying a diver. The scuba gear can be intimidating at first to a dog for their first time.
Here you see emmett approaching this diver cautiously.
Once they get used to the gear they are fine.
It is very much appreciated when voluteer divers work with our dogs.

Emmett and Shark.Emmett was 4 months old here and Shark was 10 years old. They were buddies.
