Long After the Tears......... His bones are creaky, he`s not too sound, but his eyes are bright and his tummy round. He`s gone quite deaf and his face is grey I walk the others, but he`s happy to stay. His tail still wags and i get a greeting He`s happy to fotter and he`s still eating I have to bellow to make myself heard Some things he does without a word.
The old man and i have seen such a lot He`s one of the most treasured friends i`ve got He`s a pain at times, i have to admit But i wouldn`t change him- not one little bit The years creep by-the time ticks on I know that one day he`ll be gone When the time comes, i will know I`ll do what`s right- i`ll let him go.
God willing i`ll be with him and hold him tight And see him safely into his long "good night" But until that time i`ll keep him near to me he`s part of all that`s dear. He`s got no Ch. title-what do i care? All i worry is that he`s there. The time will come when he is no more And in my life will close a door.
But i`ll have the memories from all the years And they will remain long after the tears. (Author Unknown) |

The reason sam looks a bit sad here is when his bones were really aching, i found some products to help relieve his aching, i found a company by the name of Springtime Products. I am supplimenting Sampson with J-Flex concentrate, and GL both are horse products that are glucosamine, and chondriton powder in high concentrate. I also am feeding the Bee-Pollen product for horses, seems to have worked! he has perked up and is happy!
