Greetings in the lovely name of Jesus. We of the "Vital Signs Chalk Ministry" would like to take this opportunity to present ourselves and our ministry to you.

Our aim and goal is to win souls to Jesus and encourage and uplift the believers. We feel that this unique presentation of the good news has been given to us to use for the glory of God.

Dorothy A. and Ruth do Chalk Art with a musical background as Dorothy L. gives a related gospel message, following which the black light comes on and gives added impact to the message by revealing the hidden picture. (Sample shown above.)

Dorothy A. and Ruth are twins who were raised in Life Center First Assembly, Tacoma, Washington. They both graduated from Central Bible College, Springfield, Mo., and have been active in their service to the Lord ever since. Dorothy L. was raised in Hartford, Ct. Assembly of God Church under the ministry of Brother J. R. Ashcroft. She also graduated from Central Bible College and has been active in the Lord's work both here and overseas.

Our ministry is adaptable to all ages and types of groups. With the anointing and blessing of the Holy Spirit we are trusting the Lord to grant us many opportunities to present this unique message. We come on a free will offering basis.

Thank you for your prayerful consideration. God bless you.

Yours in Christ,
Dorothy L. Karnes,

Letters We Have Received

LESA M. BANGS, Activities Director, Leisure Time Resorts, Paradise, Silver Creek, WA: As activities director at a large resort I have occasion to meet many people. During a crafts class I met Ruth Harrison and Dorothy Karnes, two of the most enjoyable people I met all season. While chatting with these two ladies they told me about their ministry, and how they go from place to place with a truly unique way of spreading the word of God, and just making people smile.

What makes Vital Signs so appropriate for any group of people is that it is non-denominational, and appeals to all ages.

When Vital Signs visited paradise Resort we had a Sunday evening service with about 40 people in attendance. Adults and children alike, people of all religions, were amazed at the art and story telling. At the end of the story, the lighting changed, and a hidden picture appeared. Everyone was amazed and moved.

In closing I would definately recommend Vital Signs Chalk Ministries not only to resorts, but to any organization that would like to help people remember tht God is there for them.

THE WOMEN'S MINISTRIES OF LAKEWOOD PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 8601 104th SW, Tacoma, WA 98498: Recently the Vital Signs Chalk Ministry shared with an informal gathering of our church membership. We found them to be a blessing to young and old alike. They brought together concrete christian and biblical concepts and testimonies, at the same time a delightful illustrative chalk drawing was coming to life.

We have found this ministry to be true to the service of Jesus and would recommend them to all other believers.

PASTOR DAN SCHAEFER: I am pleased to recommend for your consideration Vital Signs Ministry. This ministry is very unique. It combines an inspired narrative with inspired art work.

I have noticed this ministry has a tremendous appeal to all ages. The audience is drawn into a work of artistic creation as Ruth Harrison and Dorothy Karnes use multi-colored chalk to depict God's creation. As they are drawing, Dorothy Karnes (the third member of this team who has the same name as her sister-in-law) shares a beautiful narrative that follows a spiritual theme related to the chalk drawing. God has gifted these ladies and brought them together to compliment each other. They are truly an anointed ministry team.

The conclusion of the drawing is breath-taking. As the narrative and drawing come to an end, a hidden drawing is revealed through the use of a "black light". The impact of the narrative and drawing are tremendous.

I can recommend these ladies without reservation. They are dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus Christ. I know they will be a blessing to your congregation or group. Thank you for prayerfully considering scheduling Vital Signs Ministry.

KAREN JOHNSON: Thank you again so very much for coming out so early in the morning to minister to us! Everyone -- teachers as well as children -- enjoyed it immensely! I know the message made permanent impact on many kids. All the teachers were so glad you came. It was a real test. The enclosed letters are from my 3/4 class. I pray God will give you many more opprotunities to share your ministry with others.

ELISABETH: Thank you so very much for coming to our school. You are so talented. Especially in drawing and in speaking. A girl named Meagan who was sitting next to me was crying when she heard the wonderful story. The drawing was beautiful. Especially the hand with the bird in it. It really made me feel good.

MEAGAN: Thank you for coming. I enjoyed your story. It was very emotional. And I would also like to compliment you that you are good artists. And your chalk picture was very pretty. It had alot of details.

KING J. BOGARDUS, RV Evangelism Supv., RV MAPS Office, The General Council of the Assemblies of God, 1445 Boonville Ave., Springfield, Missouri 65802-1894: Not very often do you find three women who are annointed, enthusiastic, and on fire for the Lord who work the Vital Signs Chalk Ministry together.

These women are RV MAPS volunteers and will bring this ministry to your teen challenge organization without any remuneration, only requiring a hook-up for their RV as required for all RV MAPS Construction/Evangelism Projects.

At our 1994 Eighth Annual RV Convention these ladies thrilled our RV'ers with their effective Evangelism Ministry. Without hesitation we recommend them.

I am sure your organization will be blessed and souls may be saved by this announted ministry.
