Occupation:
I am a Secretary (ok, actually a Office Technician) for the California Intergrated Waste Mangement Board. I have been working there since July 1st,1998 and now have a better idea of what the job is all about! The Waste Managment Board has already given me a chance for upward mobility so Im happy I came here. I have changed jobs and now work as the secretary to the Deputy Director of Permitting and Enforcement. I still work also with Permitting & Inspections but my main duties are to the Deputy Director. I think I would like to stay in this position for a while but eventually I would like to find a way into the computer department and work my way up that state ladder! School has been put on hold for a while as other things (see below) have come up in my life. I hope to go back and continue my education for my AA degree and continue my pursuit of a career in Computer Information Sciences.
Family Life:
Well, alot has happend in my life but the thing that most stands out is that I became a mom again to twins. A girl and boy were born to Mike and I on December 23, 2003. Their names are Stephanie Anne and Christopher David. Twins are alot of hard work and the first year was really hard. Mike and I had some hard times, but now as they are over a year old and are a little bit more managable they are getting more fun but are still into everything! I still have custody of Ryan and Jenna 3 days a week and every other weekend. They both adore their little sister and brother and help me out alot when they are here.
And yes, I have become a minivan mom. I bought a 1999 blue Toyota Sienna. I love all the room and the leather seats, sunroof and CD player. The Kia has been passed down to Ryan and when he starts driving (which we hope will be soon)so he will be using that until the thing eventually falls apart. Ryan is now a junior in high school and will graduate (or we hope he will we are keeping our fingers crossed). He turned 17 in May 2004, only one more year with my first born...*sigh* ohh how time flys!!! Jenna turned 12 in March 2004 and has totally blossomed into a little social butterfly. She has alot of friends and plays soccer and softball every year. She will start Junior High School next year, still not into boys, thank goodnes, but I know that will not last too much longer. She still plays softball but I think this might be the last year for that, but loves soccer and cant wait for it to start again. She is so much like her dad when she plays, she is so competetive and loves to do her very best. Mike and I bought a house. Its a beatiful 2 story 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath in Elk Grove, California. Its a wonderful neighborhood and the house is just wonderful. The flooring throughout the entire house is hardwood. Only the bedrooms have carpet. There is a lot of work that I want to do, but that will take time. I think the priority at the moment is to get the backyard decent so the kids can go out there and play. We went to put an above ground pool and play area along with a half a dozen other things.
Hobbies:
Everquest, an online roleplaying multi-player game is my biggest hobby at the moment. I play on the Firiona Vie server as a half-elf bard named Kearrey. I love the game and according to Mike, I spend to much time, but they are all patient with me and know that I love the game and give me time to play. Everquest takes alot of my time, but I still like to read and read romance novels and even have picked up a fantasy book and read it all the way thru. I also like to read Cosmopolitan magazine and Mike picks it up extra special from the store just for me!!
Happy Tails has been put on hold for now. I couldnt manage the foster of cats while getting ready to move into a house and being pregnant and giving birth to the twins. They are still very near and dear to my heart.
Other things I love:Cats, Cats, Cats..Ok I love all animals..but you can probably tell cats are my favorite!! Mike and I currently have four cats, in order of age is Tagge, our alpha male, Wraith, our attention whore male, Boo-Boo, the only female and she thinks she is the princess and the baby Spike, a black and white male of one of the litter of kittens I used to foster. Spike is special cause he loves to cuddle in my neck during the night and in the morning. My old man Rufus has passed on to the Rainbow Bridge and I miss him terribly still. Tagge and Wraith are mostly Mike's cats but they do give me loves once in a while when he isnt around.
