Here's a pic of him and my Granny on their50th Wedding Anniversary. We had them a big party and they exchanged their Wedding Vows again.Their Son Rev.Opie Harris got to marry them this time. It was a wonderful day for all of us. Papaw...We miss you so and wish you where here with us. Here is another pic of them. This was the only GrandfatherI had. My dad's parents died when he was a small boy so Papaw was really special to me. I have so many wonderful memories of him. I feel so Blessed to have had himin my life. I can't wait to see himagain. Papaw, I love you so very much. We all love you and miss you and can't wait to be with you in Heaven. Here's a poem my son wrote and had published after Papaw died. July 7th of this year made 14 yrs. Papaw's been gone to Heaven. I Wish He Could Come Back. It was about four years ago My great-grandfather passed awayIt was very cold,the world was quiet It was a very sad day. I miss having him around He was really the best friend I had Just being around him brought joy to my life He kept me really glad. Our whole family has never been the same Since the day he passed away But I know he'll always be in my heart Each and every day.
