BRIDGE DAY 2000


On the third Saturday of October every year since 1977, the state of West Virginia has held their Bridge Day event during which they celebrate the building of the World's Longest Single Span Steel Arch Bridge.
One side of highway 19 is closed off and people are allowed to walk across to enjoy the many concession stands, the view of the fall colours and to see professional and amateur BASE jumpers who come from around the world for this very unique opportunity.
