Happy Father's Day!

When looking for graphics to do this page,
I would laugh because most depicted sports graphics.
None of the men in my life were really into sports.
Both my grandpa's enjoyed working in the garden.
They both grew veggies like chilles, tomatoes, ans squash.
Even my dad enjoys working in the garden.
And then I found these perfect graphics!

I remember when I was a tomboy and my dad was out
there teaching me to ride a bike, skate and play baseball.
I still remember how excited I was to show him how
I had mastered the turn on my little red deby skateboard!
A little skateboard with the metal wheels in the 60's!
And of course years later dad teaching me to drive the red VW.
I had the hardest time trying to turn the corner with one
hand while trying to handle the clutch and shift!
So we switched to the big car and the week I turned 16,
Dad took me to get my drivers licence and I passed!
Thanks Dad! I love you!

My dad is retired from his federal job now and
him and my mom run their own real estate business.
The market here in Califonia has been moving
so they are quite busy with the job. In his spare time
dad likes to relax and garden and
spend time with the grandchildren

And now for my husband. He is a very good dad
and had been very involved with the kids!
I had to go back to work when my first son was 8 weeks old,
becasue I had to stay in bed most of my 9 months of pregnancy.
So it was time for me to get back to work.
I worked part time in the evening 6pm-10pm.
So while I was gone, he was in charge!

He did this will all three of the kids.
He is also a very good cook. He likes to barbecue and
and had taught that to his sons. Pray for my daughter.
She has no interest in cooking, she would rather be outside
playing basket ball, riding her skooter or
working on her computer. Does she sound like her mom? :)

I remember one year when both sons were in little league.
There he was trying to get them both to their games.
And he still had our daughter in tow. I was at work.
Thanks goodness they all decided that
one year of that was all they wanted to do.
But the best thing that happened is
when we all went back to church.
Shortly after that, my job went to days.
Life became more normal.
Now my husband, like my dad isn't a big spots person,
but he does go camping with the church camp
and had taken the boys fishing.

But the thing he likes do do the best is:.....

Watching a cooking channel, or history or biography...
just like my dad.(girls tend to marry men like their dads?)
So while he is there with the power
of the remote in his hand, and our dog Reina on his lap.
I am there with my computer making these pages!

So I want to wish the men in my life a
Very Happy Father's Day!
And to my Heavenly Father for all we have been blessed with!
