Happy Mother's Day!
Mother's Day is such a special day for me.
There was a time that I didn't think I would be able to have kids.
Though I had 3 miscarriages and those babies await for me in heaven
The Lord still blessed me with 3 more children.
2 sons born to me and 1 daughter that came to us through adoption.
So I really enjoy this day and thank God for my precious gifts!
I really enjoy being served breakfast in bed.
By the time Mother's Day comes around,
The roses in my garden are blooming.
My husband always goes out and cuts
a few new fresh buds for my tray.
And sometimes I get a tray just like this picture
While I am eating the kids give me my gifts and cards
Then after breakfast I take a great bath
that was been set for me.
I enjoy a glass of orange juice and listen to music.
The midi playing now is called Just My Imagination.
It was popular when my husband and I were dating (1973-4).
There is a part where they sing about having 2
maybe 3 kids....and we did! I need to find the words!
Then after a short while I make a mad dash to get ready
for church and thankfully my clothes are already set.
After church we ususally go to lunch with my mom and
my sisters and brother and spouses and kids.

"We are all mother's in special ways...
Godmother's, big sisters, aunts or simply friends
There are so many children already here who need love,
it isn't necessary to be a mother to experinece mothering" Sark
"How simple a thing it seems to me
that to know ourselves as we are,
we must know our mothers." Alice Walker
I really like this saying. For a long time,
I just didn't understand my mom. She seemed
so perfect and I felt I could never measure up.
So lots of times, I stayed away, though I loved her.
It took the loss of my grandma, her mom,
to show me how much I loved her, so I wote her a letter.
That was the beginning of a new relationship.
I was also in a support group that was helping me
to accept myself just for me,
instead of who I thought I had to be.
Now I can appreciate my mom and say I love you.
That is what she needed to hear. We are so alike.
I love you Mom!

"Her Children arise and call her blessed,
her husband also, and he praises her."
Proverbs 31:28
