Butterfly Information
Family Satyridae
Overview: Family Satyridae

The Family Satyridae are largely dull in appearance as far as wing color goes. Most species within this family are brownish, with little or no coloring to liven things up. However, their multitude of wing shapes are what draws most hobbyists into studying them.
Some few species within this Family have a bolder appearance, so as to resemble individuals from completely different families.

This is a rather large family consisting of several (at least 7) subfamilies, and several thousand species.
Please bear with the length of the listing for now.

This listing is quite extensive, so please be patient until I am able to create more links.
Until then, enjoy.
