We all come into this life with Karma and it is only gone when we reach Enlightenment.
The Earth around the seed, is to the flower's growth, what Karma is to our growth. Our Mother, the Earth provides the nutrients a seed needs for growth, and at the same time, in darkness the seed must struggle through all the unseen barriers presented, till one day the tender young plant makes a break through. Understanding forever, to reach out towards the Sunlight, our Father's life-giving and life sustaining Rays, which will guide the plant every day of it's life, till it is strong enough to Flower in Beauty, and produce seeds of it's own. Remember that "you reap, what you sow".
The difficulties, problems, dilemmas in our lives are to us, what the Earth is to the seed, both the nourishment and the barriers. The seed has to struggle in darkness to survive. Growth isn't easy and some seeds never reach their full potential. They give up or fall victim to the greater forces around them. The seeds that really struggle and never give up, become strong, developing character and experience. The plant teaches us that even though it is limited in it's movement, it can still obtain beauty and fulfilment. One can hold many attitudes about the Earth they grow up in. Some wallow and laze around in it, some call it dirty, some find it suffocating, others feel it is like a comforting blanket, while still others are choked by it and many find it nurturing.
By the attitudes we carry and share with others, we expand our limited perceptions. Each time the seed moves in the soil, shifting the particles of Earth, causes a reaction around the seed. The seed changes things, in much the same way as we do in the handling of our day to day situations. Everyone has the opportunity to develop and move toward the light to grow in beauty. The better one handles their karma (difficulties, problems, dilemmas), gently moving the grains of soil, placing them with care, showing love and respect for the Earth and others, reaching upwards towards the Sunlight, the more gently will life forces allow one to gain the gifts of clarity and freedom. Karma is for growth! The way you move along the Rivers of Life, going and growing with the Flow of life, growing in beauty, Flowering, becoming a Flow-er, a beautiful flower of Earth, becoming to the Tree of Life, is the end everyone needs to strive for. Both the seed and humans can only grow greater, by reaching up and out to Him, the Sun.
