Looking at faces I know I remember,
                       Sometimes with flooding emotions tender,
Knowing that I have not met them before
                       Overwhelmed, I close the door.

Years have passed and knowledge is here,
I now know there is no reason to fear.
Those wild emotions felt on stranger's eyes
Are but old friends meeting with surprise.

Lives and loves come and go,
Like the tides, they ebb and flow.
Bonds are forged then torn asunder,
                         Always present. The spirit wonders.

So when next you feel emotions surge,
Upon meeting a stranger, you have the urge
To smile and say "hello" again,
Don't miss the chance. It might be an old friend.
