I AM
AT PEACE
When deep shadows
fall at twilight,
And the birds
wing to their rest.
I sit in the
porch rocking chair,
'Cause its
what I like to do best.
And I take
the time to contemplate,
The happenings
of this day,
Knowing that
its part of a plan
Constructed
in God's special way.
And as the
stillness settles,
Into night's
dark, velvety cloak,
The stars begin
to twinkle,
And the frogs
begin to croak.
As the peacefullness
enfolds me
And I pause
to gaze on high,
At the splendour
of His creation
Before the
moment passes me by.
I am at peace.
