National Parks Board, Singapore - Website of Singapore's National Parks Board, the trustee of the nature reserves and conservation of Singapore's scarce remaining tracts of land which are covered with primary and secondary forests. NParks is also responsible for the beautiful "Green City" which Singapore is also renowned for.
Sungei
Buloh Wetland Reserve, Singapore - The Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, formerly known as the Sungei Buloh Nature Park, is a 87 Hectare piece of mangrove wetland which was set aside by the Singapore Government as a nature conservation area. It is one of the preferred stop-over points for migrating birds and is very popular with birdwatchers during the migration seasons. The park is well designed, with sturdy boardwalks for visitors to make forays deep
into the swampy mangrove areas. The SBNP is also great for butterflies
too, with a few very local species that are rare elsewhere.
