FISHING
A
quarter of a million people come to Panama City
Beach each year just to enjoy the beautiful
fishing waters. Anglers of all expertise levels
can be accommodated with the great variety and
abundance of
catches. Catches are for both good eating and
sport fishing. Almost all kinds of Gulf fish can
be caught in these waters. Amberjack, Red
Snapper, Scamp, Grouper, King Mackerel, Spanish
Mackerel,
Redfish, Flounder, bonito, Sheepshead, Sea Trout,
Bluefish, Marlin, Sailfish and Shark are all
caught in these wonderful waters. St Andrews Bay
and the Gulf of Mexico both provide excellent
places to saltwater fish. Freshwater lake and
river fishing is just a short distance away Large
and Small boats
are readily available at several marinas to take
you deep-sea fishing either close in or way out.
Large boats with up to 60 or seventy people
anchor at known fishing spots for bottom feeders
such as Red Snapper, grouper and Amberjack.
Charter boats with 3 to 20 passengers make trips
of 3 hours to 1 day and overnight trips can be
scheduled. A license is required for both fresh
water and saltwater fishing.

points.
