Brian Caseys Plants

Brian Casey comes from just a wee bit outside Wanganui. He's had a long time interest in all manner of CPs and hosted the 24th October 1998 meeting of the 'Southern North Island CP Growers Group'. Brian is a bit of a 'do-it-yourselfer' and this is reflected in his non-traditional growing techniques which have proven useful to him over the years. He has some very nice plants from all the major groups of CPs.

Here are some pictures Kelly Rennell took at the October SNICPGG gathering.

The core group, sans Kelly Rennell - the photographer. Clockwise from back left - Mike, Mark, Brian,Terry,Jenny, Jack, Andrew (ie me :),Jo, Andy, Peter.

Cephalotus follicularis.

Nepenthes sanguinea

Nepenthes x mastersiana - male (this photo, by AJB, was taken some time ago, the plant has since been 'disassembled for parts').

Utricularia reniformis, about to flower.

Pinguicula cf. cyclosecta

Pinguicula moranensis - alba

Both P. cf. cyclosecta and P. moranensis - alba.

An 1997 photo, by AJB, of the same plants.

Sarracenia sp. - about to flower.

Sarracenia flava - all green.

Drosera auriculata (or D. peltata auriculata, if you'd prefer). Note, the yellow flowers are *not* from this plant.

Drosera binata - KPR - Note: The plant is not horribly out of focus, there is just lots of 'dew' on this sundew.

Drosera capensis - KPR - Brian doesn't just grow *one* of anything...

Drosera formosa - KPR.

Drosera hamiltoni - KPR.

Drosera sp. Possibly D. capillaris? - KPR.
