Philippine Marine Seal

Anchor - Signifies that the Philippine Marines is an Arm of the Philippine Navy.

Shield- The Marines are a ready force to defend the country from external or internal aggression.

8 Rayed sun- As in the Philippine flag it symbolizes the first provinces that rose against Spain.

3 Stars- The three major islands of the country, Marines are deployed all over the three.

Scroll - On it are inscribed the three ideals of the Marines that its members have lived and died for since the birth of the organization on 2 Novmeber 1950.

These words are: Karangalan, Katungkulan, Kabayanihan.(Honor, Duty, Valor)

Rope - Represents the Espirit de Corps that is the bond that exists among members of the Marines. It is a closed loop that is "Never Ending", "Once a Marine, always a Marine."

The Marine colors of Red and Gold in the back of the rope signify nobility and courage.

Anchor Chain - Signifies the affinity of Marines with Navy as its parent unit. The outer ring and anchor chain are in the Navy colors of Blue and Gold. The closed chain signifying the strong Bond of the Navy-Marine Team.
