Jerome and I knew each other since the 6th grade, but we never really spoke much until our geography class in the 9th grade when we started observing the repetitive mannerisms and depedable constants of the people in our class. Jerome is the type of person who has sarcasm flowing through his vains. By hanging around him enough I eventually started to see some parts of the world through his eyes. I found that to be enjoyable, and since then, we both seemed to laugh at life together (to the extent that others around us were both concerned and annoyed). Jerome, like me, didn't really care much about school until his Junior year of high school. He was also fat, like me, but then lost his excess fat through conventional ways, because he didn't grow as much as I did. Unlike me, though, he turned out to be very smart, which is why he is majoring in Electrical Engineering at MIT. Jerome is generally an apathetic person who never really has the motivation to initiate change...he would rather just sit back and criticize whatever is bothering him. To both our surprise though, he did attend summer school at LSU and was my roommate. The summer was good, but like all good things, it came to an end. Now he lives in Boston, and the only contact I have with him is the occasional E-mail from him discussing how absurdly difficult college is turning out to be.
