70-79 IE 4.0 Administration Kit

This exam, which is a Core exam for MCSE+Internet, pushes the detail recall of the Microsoft exams to the limit.  In this exam, you will be asked many configuration questions because the true features of Internet Explorer 4.0 come out when you properly configure the software.

 

This exam is one of the remaining non-adaptive exams with 70 questions (!) and 90 minutes to complete the exam.  The passing score is low - only 703. Before taking this exam, you should have taken the TCP/IP exam (70-59) because the troubleshooting portion of this exam deals with TCP/IP utilities .

• Recognize the various features of the IE products - NetMeeting, Outlook Express, Windows Desktop Update, NetShow
• Migrate mail and browser settings - what gets transferred and what needs to be re-installed
• Why do we have different security zones - Internet, Trusted Sites, Local Intranet, Restricted Sites? What is the default security settings on these zones?
• Which is the best distribution method for custom IE builds - CD-ROM, multiple floppy disks, Internet - and why?
