The Sudanese Community Social Club (SCSC) has been founded on the 27th May 1995 upon the announcement of the ministerial decree number122/95 issued by the Omani minister of Social Affairs and Labour. The club works under the Foreign Communities' Clubs Act issued on 12th February 1994.

The Club was open for the members for the 1st time on 26th January 1996 and is administered by an elected board of directors of 15 members. The following seven offices are formed by the board of directors to run different activities:

Information and Cultural Affairs

Women and Children Affairs

Treasury

Sports Affairs

Premises Affairs

Social Affairs (under this office comes the Sudanese Scouts & Guides)

Some of the objectives of the club are:

To mobilize members' capabilities in different areas to be shared by all members and hence, make the best use of them.

To highlight the beautiful profile of the home country, The Sudan.

To keep the faith and the good reputation of the Sudanese People abroad

To strengthen the ties between the two sister countries; Oman and Sudan

To provide a healthy media to present the home country to the youngsters
