This system drove the next version of Atari's Graphics Environment Manager desktop, with multiple windows remarkably like the Microsoft Windows (or I-Mac) in front of you now. The 2-button mouse was driven by rubber-ball design still used years later, overall the design is actually the same as the TRAK-BALL controller used on arcade games introduced and patented by Atari - 1977's "Football"
