The Atari 520ST from early 1985, following it's successful debut at the Consumer Electronics Show, became the talk on the town. People at CES called it JackIntosh since it's windowing features resembles Apple's new MacIntosh, but the ST was designed to offer much more.  The windowing operating system 'GEM' is powerful and flexible, yet easy to learn and handle. The responsive 2-button mouse makes the large keyboard virtually obsolete, and you can control the pointer via keyboard as well.
