MY REVIEW

I went to this movie on accident. My car broke down in from of the movie theater, and my father wasn't home yet, so my friend Becky and I went to see a movie, but Mortal Kombat was the only one about to play. The others were already playing. So we went to pass time. I thought It was going to be like street fighter. Just another cheaply made movie with some bad acting, based on an archade game I rarely played.

I WAS WRONG.  Robin Shou was Liu Kang, the would be hero turning his back on Destiny. This was my first Introduction to Robin. He was fantastic. Being a Martial Artist, I hate cheesy Americanized Martial Arts fight sequences in movies....but this was really good. He had moves like you wouldn't believe!!  The run up the wall reverse cresent kick was totally awesome. Robin not only had a strong screen presence, he also proved that he was a master at his Martial Arts Discipline.

Also the star who stole the show, that internationally acclaimed film star, Christopher Lambert of Highlander, and Tarzen, legends of Greystroke....fame.  Chris brought Rayden to life with his dry humor and peircing eyes. He even gave Rayden that lovable cutness with that adorable laugh, and his witty scence of humor that we've all come to love as fans of Mr. Lambert's. This was a fantastic movie. The effects were great, the fights realistic, the actors fantastic.

I give it a 10+

(ON a scale of 1 to 10,  1 being the worst, 10 being the best, + Being excellent)
