The OuterLimits

"Nightmares"

Here is a role not many Robin Shou fans are use to seeing him play. Robin plays Major Ronald Nagotchi who, along with 5 other crew members, are on a mission to deploy a top secret weapon on the surface of what was suppose to be uninhabited. But it wasn't. The crew was taken captive and tortured to get the information on what the weapon was. Only non of them really knew. While trying to escape, Robin's Character finds something he thinks will cut the ability of the alien beings to moniter them. It only causes the loss of his sight as they fuse his eyes shut.  As each is interogated one, by one, they begin to turn on eachother. Robin gains his sight back and his crew thinks he gave information about the weapon he shouldn't have in turn for regaining his eyes. Same with Lieutenant Valentine whose mouth was fused shut, but was given the ability to speak again.  In the end Robin's character's best friend and crew member was interogated, and the alien's used Robin's holographic image to make the guy think it Robin was the alien all along, to make him talk. He pointed out the civilian on board was the one who knew everything. As they interogated the civilian, The man kills Robin's character.

Don't feel bad for Robin though. In the end...

It turns out they are all on earth. it was a test to see if the earth's forces could be trusted to keep the secret of the greatest weapon of mass destruction of intergalactic war, even under terrible conditions. Or if they'd turn on eachother to save their own skins. It seems fear and distrust is what leads these human souls. only it got them nowhere. The civilian who was being interogated, who helped create the bomb, believed they were still in space, in enemy territory, and believed they were all going to die anyway. So in fourty seconds, she set the bomb to go off.  So in this episode, they all joined Robin's Character.

My review is that this show got a perfect 10!! This proves you don't need hideous violence, lots of dirty language  meaning F***this and F***that every othe word, and sex to make a show great. this was a clean show with little swearing, and nothing to serious for what there was, no sex or gorey violence. Just nail biting, on the edge of your seat suspense with an unexpected twist. It was the BEST!! And Robin was great!! And gorgeous. The part in the very begining where Robin says "I don't know what makes you so sure it's a bomb, it may just be an over sized music box." and the guy says "Yeah right," Then they get a close up of Robin's gorgeous smile...that is my favorite part. I love his smile. 2 thumbs way up.

thank you so very very much to Lynn Marie Furey who sent me a copy of "Nightmares" Since I don't get showtime. I appreciate it so very much.
