The First Babylon
Genesis 11:1-9
Genesis 11:1 ¶And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech{1} .
2 And it came to pass{2} , as they journeyed from the east{3} , that they found a plain{4} in the land of Shinar{5} ; and they dwelt there.
3 And they said one to another , Go to{6} , let us make brick, and burn them throughly{7} . And they had brick for stone , and slime had they for morter.
4 And they said, Go to{8} , let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven{9} ; and let us make us a name{10} , lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. {11}
5 ¶And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded{12} .
6 And the LORD said, Behold{13} , the people is one{14} , and they have all one language; and this they begin to do{15} : and now nothing will be restrained from them{16} , which they have imagined to do{17} .
7 Go to, let us go down{18} , and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.{19}
8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city{20} .
9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
Types and Symbols
The First Babylon is a type of Babylon the Great mentioned in Revelations.
Bricks are a symbol for apostles and prophets. See Ephesians 2:20, Revelations 21:14
Burning bricks is symbolic of the testing of the apostles and prophets by fire. They are tested to see how committed they are to the "Great Work", the one world "utopian" society. 32nd Degree Masons receive the honorary 33rd Degree by contributing in a major way to this work called the "Great Work"
Being of "one speech" is symbolic of being committed to the Great Work. Everyone in the First Babylon had the same goals and desires: a One World System
And it came to pass: this phrase always tell us that what has happened in the past will happen again.
Testimonials from those who have studied Twicespeak
The Bible: 2 Books for the Price of One
Glimpses of the Resurrection
Interpretation:
To be of one language is to share a common dialect. To be of one speech is to have the same aspirations. The people of Babylon had a common goal. See verse 4
Interpretation:
That which has come to pass is the type. When something is passing, it is incomplete. The type always points to the the antitype.
Thus, the building of Babylon shall come to pass again in the Last Days. In the words of Solomon, that which has been is that which shall be.
Interpretation:
When Jesus returns, He will split the eastern sky. Notice the builders of Babylon are journeying from the East. (ie. in the opposite direction from the ways of the Lord)
Interpretation:
Notice that they chose their location. In contrast, when God instructed the Israelites to build the temple, He told them where to construct it.
Interpretation:
Shinar = "country of two rivers"
1) the ancient name for the territory later known as Babylonia or Chaldea
Interpretation:
This phrase in the Hebrew means "Come now", pointing to a antitypical Last Day Fulfillment.
Interpretation:
The temple of God's design is built upon the foundation of Jesus Christ with the apostles and prophets fitly joined together to make a
structure holy to the Lord.
The building of the Babylonian system was built in the same manner in that it is built upon a foundation of New Age apostles and prophets. The bricks in this verse represent the apostles and prophets of the New Age religion who have been tested by fire and proven to be dedicated to the Great Work (One World Government)
Interpretation:
This phrase in the Hebrew means "Come now", pointing to a antitypical Last Day Fulfillment.
Interpretation:
Notice the underlying attitude of equality with God which causes the Babylonians to want to build a tower that "may reach unto heaven." This is the same lie that Eve believed in the Garden ("you shall be as God") and the same lie that those of the New Age and One World government movements believe.
Interpretation:
The Babylonians wanted to make a name for themselves. But God wanted his people to be fruitful and mutiply and fill the earth, spreading the knowledge of him all over the earth.
Interpretation:
The Babylonians did not want to be scattered abroad on the earth. Yet this was just what God commanded them after the deluge, to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. But because the Babylonians are on a journey "from the east" (away from God), they take this course of action.
Interpretation:
In the first Babylon, the type, the Lord comes down to see the city and tower. In Babylon the Great (antitypical), the wickedness of the city reaches unto heaven.
To go down is the type. Up is the antitype.
Rev. 18:5
For her (Babylon the Great) sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered (to remember is to recall not once, but twice!)
her iniquities.
Why does God remember here iniquities? Because it has all happened before in Genesis 11!
Interpretation:
There is something the Lord wants us to see here (not once but twice). This is the secret of God acted out through the body temple. When you behold (lo) someone you look with your right eye and your left eye. Right is the type. Left is the antitype
Interpretation:
The people were one in their aspirations. This is the same anti Christ spirit at work today, that wnats to enslave us in their One World "Utopia".
Interpretation:
They began the city but did not finish it. This is the type.
Interpretation:
The first time God restrained them by confusing their languages. The word "now" tells us that the antitypical fulfillment of this verse tell us they will not be restrained will in the antitypical fulfillment. To be restrained is the type. To be loosed the antitype.
One World Government will occur, it is inevitable. We will either stand up in opposition now or shirk away in fear and offer no resistance when the mark is mandated. There will be no middle ground. If you do not have the courage to stand up in opposition now, do you think you will be able to resist when they require you to take a mark to buy food?
Interpretation:
When you imagine something, it is hidden because it is in your mind or heart. This is the type. The type always points to the antitype.
In the Last Days, the hidden, secret (imagined) plans of the NWO will be fulfilled (filled full: antitype).
When something is empty or in part, it is the type. When something is full, it is the antitype.
Interpretation:
In the first Babylon, the type, the Lord comes down to see the city and tower. In Babylon the Great (antitypical), the wickedness of the city reaches unto heaven (antitype).
God confounds their language, so they would not understand one another's speech and could not complete their common aspirations.
Interpretation:
In the type, the work on Babylon is not completed. In the antitypical Babylon the Great, it will be completed.
