My Love

You have filled an empty space in my heart
with such love as I have never known.
How can it be measured in spoken terms?
You've brought light into my gloom.
You are Spring in the dead of Winter.
You are the soft shower which gently relieves the drought and renews the land.
When I call you Love it is because you are.
Your words, your looks, your manner all speak of a deep and caring love.
A cup which I drink deeply of.
You are the love in my life.
And I love thee more than mere words can say.

All is madness and confusion
Nothing of reality exists
My life reaches beyond reason
My world is full of despair.
Who is there to care?
The winds of misfortune are born in my cloak.
Sunshine seeping in is rare.
I but choke on my own passions as if
engulfed in the densest smoke.
How will I fair with the burdens I bare?
Stop to rest, I do not dare.
If I should fall who would care?
Here I sit alone in my deep despair.
My, what a nice electric chair.
