Deck Concept:
Stasis is one of the most powerful cards in the game, for no other card completely does away with an entire phase of the game. Stasis is a blue enchantment that does away with the Untap phase. Gone. No more. So once you tap, it remains tapped, for as long as Stasis is in play. The problem with Stasis is that with an Upkeep of one blue mana each turn, it seems as if you can't keep it out long, because when you run out of blue mana, it's all over, plus your opponent will untap before you, leaving you vulnerable. Therefore the trick becomes, how do you keep Stasis going as long as you want, removing it when need be to untap your lands or creatures, etc, while never giving your opponent a chance to do the same. This deck has several answers to the problem. See for yourself.

BLUE SPELLS
18 Cards Total
- 2 Boomerangs (return Stasis to your hand before your Untap Phase)
- 1 Control Magics (claim an opponent's creature as your own)
- 4 Counterspells (A bargain)
- 1 Merchant Scrolls (Get that Boomerang or Reset to keep Stasis going.)
- 2 Power Sinks (With your opponent's mana limited due to Stasis, these are effective.)
- 2 Resets (when you are down to your last two blue mana, untap all your lands!)
- 3 Stasis (Keep these going as long as you can)
- 1 Time Elemental (return Stasis to your hand as a fast effect)
- 2 Zephyr Falcons (little tiny Serra Angels)
WHITE SPELLS
11 Cards Total
- 1 Arenson's Aura (Sacrifice it to remove Stasis on your opponent's turn so you can untap)
- 1 Disenchant (Remove a Stasis from play as a last resort)
- 1 Kismet (With Stasis in play it can be the Kiss of Death)
- 1 Land Tax (Get more the basic land out of your deck)
- 3 Serra Angels (The best creature in the game.)
- 1 Swords to Plowshares (Get rid of something awful)
- 3 Trade Caravans (Two of these guys in play, and you can untap an island each turn - perpetual Stasis!)
GREEN SPELLS
6 Cards Total
- 1 Bird of Paradise (Handy for a Three color deck. Instill it with energy for Perpetual Stasis!)
- 2 Instill Energies (you'll need these for the Bird and Druid)
- 1 Ley Druid (Untap an island each turn during Stasis - keep it going forever!)
- 1 Regrowth (Get a Stasis back in your hand if it is lost)
- 1 Storm Seeker (You opponent will collect a lot of cards if all goes well)
ARTIFACTS

- 1 Black Vise (See Storm Seeker - above)
- 1 Icy Manipulator (Tap the Orb so you can keep all your lands going)
- 1 Ivory Tower (Gain life during the Slow Stasis time)
- 1 Meekstone (Helps against big creatures
- 1 Sol Ring (Handy until Stasis hits)
- 1 Winter Orb (A Land Stasis in a box)
- 1 Relic Barrier (see Icy Manipulator - above)
- 1 Zuran Orb (Gain life from those excess lands)

- 1 Disenchant (Keep your Serras free from Oubliettes, etc.)
- 1 Magical Hacks (Save your Islands from Tsunami)
- 1 Pentagram of the Ages (Because Direct Damage hurts)
- 1 Power Sink (A good back-up)
- 1 Serra Angel (in case the other three get nuked)
- 2 Sleight of Minds (protects against Terrors, Bad Moons, etc. )
- 1 Stasis (another as back-up)
- 1 Storm Seeker (Because Direct Damage hurts)
