Relatively Speaking

7/2/97

My friends came over my house one day and we did what we normally do.

Nothing.

But we have mastered the time honored sport of channel surfing. We flew past channel after channel of government access, TV guide channels, and the Psychic Friends Network. We finally settled on a movie where a homely woman was talking to her husband about where to leave the kids on their weekend away. They finally decided to leave the children with their aunt in Florida.

Phil looked up and said, "I think everyone has an aunt in Florida."

I don’t. So I said, "I don’t"

One by one, my friends all confessed that they didn’t have an aunt in Florida. Phil thought for a moment. Then he spoke

"Neither do I."

The Past Stranger Than Fictions

Why Not? I'm nice, really!
