Backstreet Secrets

CHAPTER 9

Lauren opened her eyes and tried to remember what had happened. She had fell down... A story? Two? Or more? She didn't know. She moved, sat up. It was dark around her, she couldn't see the floor where they were before she fell down. Her left wrist was sore. She remembered than she felt someone fall on top of her. That's what knocked her unconscious.

She heard someone moan next to her. She turned around to where the voice came from, extended her hand. She touched someone.

"Hey. Are you alright?"

"Lauren?" The person said, waking up.

'Damn,' she thought. 'Nick. Why him, out of everyone else?' Then she realized she'd have to collaborate with him to get out of there, so she might as well deal with the fact that she'd be stuck alone with him for God knows how long.

"Listen, the sooner you get up, the sooner we get to find an exit." She said.

"If I had know I'd wake up next to you, I'd have stayed unconscious." He replied sharply.

"Yeah, well if I had know you were the one next to me, I would've have run instead of asking how you were doing!"

"We have to find our way outta here." He got up. "Follow me."

"Because I suppose you know where we're going."

"I- Oh, shut up!"
